Hi Karol and Barb,

I don't know if this is of any help to you. I found it on ancestry.com. We might need help translating some of it since it is in German.

I am not finding anything else on Jozef.

Regards,
Trish
Hello, I'm looking for Józef Kunczyński, born in 1919 in Stoczek Łukowski. He wanted to get to the United States. I managed to find out that in 1945 he was in a Polish refugee camp in Altenstadt, Germany, in the American occupation zone. I also have a card with information about vaccinations and the place where he wanted to get to - New York. I heard that the waiting period for leaving for the United States was very long, it was easy to get to England. During this time in the camp he did not contact his family. His family searched for him through the Red Cross organization, but without success. It is not known what happened to him. Could there be any documents informing about the death in the Altenstadt camp in Germany? Is there any possibility of finding out if such a person finally managed to get to the target country?
