Geneteka shows several siblings of Antoni. Dorota's surname is represented several different ways.

Trish, it isn't a party until you arrive!
I agree that this is Antoni's manifest. Look also two lines above him and see another fellow coming from Humniska. They are certainly connected. You also posted a link to the scan for Marianna's baptism, and when you look at that page, that Kedra surname shows up quite a few times.

Jerry, don't worry, we all have days like that!

Just to say it, "George" and "Wojciech" are not two forms of the same name, yet it was almost a given that someone whose Polish name was Wojciech would become George in the U.S. so Antoni's middle name in the SSDI makes a lot of sense.

And Marianna must be Antoni's sister.

Hi Everyone,
Going by the ship's manifest which stated Antoni was from Humniska and his father was Wojciech. Plus using the Social Security Death index which shows the names of Antoni's parents. I was able to find this record for a Marianna Konieczka with the same parents' names.

That is an interesting manifest that you found for Gustav Baszak. The year is 1914. Yes, it shows his last residence as "Krakau" which means Krakow. The image that you posted is the first page of a two-page manifest. Here is a link to the second page:

Gustav was not going to Antonina, in this manifest, rather he is listing her as his closest relative in the country from which he came. He was intending to go to a friend (I read it as Jozef Hess) in Philadelphia. I read Gustav's place of birth (last column of page 2) as Sambor. You are correct, he was deported.

Hi Barb,
I agree with you, we don't have enough information yet. Geneteka has only indexed the birth records for Humniska for the years 1890-1905, as I am sure you noticed, and we do not know if Antoni Konieczka was born in that interval or not. Tony, if you could give us a birth year for your relatives, that would make the search easier. Once you provide that, I can try to look for ship manifests. The same for whatever details you have on Antonina Bazak.

I'm searching for relatives of Anthony Konieczka from Humniska, he was a mailman there and came to the US around 1917.
I'm also searching for relatives on my Babscia's side, her name was Antonina Bazak from Konsk, she also came to the US around 1917.
