It shows:
Grochów, Sokołów Podlaski, Poland
and suggests 3 others:
Grochów, Kutno County, Łódź Voivodeship, Poland
Grochów, Krosno Odrzańskie County, Lubusz Voivodeship, Poland
Grochów, Gryfice County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland

Kind regards,
I have found it in SGKP and the information is the same Hoffman had already told you "also known as Praksedów". Since she was born in 1825 and SGKP was published in 1882, the change of name occured during those years. I have checked some other maps, but all of them shows the name Praksedów.
Praksedow can be seen here, right below Dobrow http://www.mapywig.org/m/WIG100_300DPI/P40_S27_KOLO_300dpi.jpg
This map is dated 1934. What is your source to state the place was once called Niwice?
In what year was the name Niwice changed to Praksedow?
My great great grandmother Mayanna Mejsner ( Daughter of Jan Mayzner) was born 1825 in Niwice.
I can not find a old card (map) with the name Niwice

About Jan Mayzner
10. Niwice [another name for Praksedów]. On 6 June 1824 at 8 a.m. before Us, the Civil Registrar of Dobrów gmina, Konin district, Kalisz province, there appeared with an announcement the honest Jan Mayzner, a widower, age 30, according to a birth certificate he submitted from the registers of the parish of Grochów, in preparation for the rite of Matrimony with the honest Tekla Zaklicka, a maiden, age 21 according to a birth certificate she submitted from the registers of the parish church of Dobrów, in the presence of her parents, Mateusz and Rozalia Zaklicki, residing in Dobrów gmina, whose desire it is that we proceed with the marriage they have agreed upon, for which the banns were read before the main door of our Gmina House, first, on Sunday, the 6th of June at 11 a.m. before the main doors of our Gmina House; second, on Sunday, the 13th of June at 11 a.m. before the Main Dours of our Gmina House, and third [Here is where the second page begins] on Sunday, 19 June, at 11 a.m. before the main doors of our Gmina House. Inasmuch as there was no information provided on any impediment to the proposed marriage provided, either on the part of the relatives or of the interested parties, we granted their request, having inspected all evidence provided by the parties and witnesses as the law requires, indicating that all formalities have been complied with; and, complying with the 6th Chapter of the Napoleonic Code on Marriage, we asked both the future husband and wife separately whether each of them wishes to be joined in the bonds of marriage, with each of them having answered separately that this is their wish. Therefore we announce in the name of the Law that the honest Jan Majzner, widower, and Tekla Zaklicka, a maiden, are joined in the bonds of marriage. We drew up this record in the presence of witnesses, Bogumił Klukaczyński, age 50, and Bogumiła Kokorzycka, age 48, farmers in the gmina of Dobrów, which record was read to the declarants and witnesses and signed by us, the witnesses being illiterate.
