I just was given a tidbit of information from a second cousin about my great grandmother, Katharine Kraus. She apparently still held the title to the family farm back in Dobromil while she was living here in the United States. After WWII, she sold it to some cousins who were still living over in Poland because after the war, you weren't allowed to go back and claim the land if you weren't living there.

Anyone know of any relatives of Katharine Kraus living in Dobromil around 1945? (Her married name for the sale would have been Katharine Przedpelski, or Katie Przedpelski). Katharine was born in 1888 to Josephus Kraus and Maria Kurz. They also had four other children that I know of, Caroline (b.1891), Margaret(b.1894), Peter(b.1897), and Frank/Francis(b.1902). Katharine immigrated to the US in 1904. I know Maria (Kurz) also raised geese as a young girl, but I believe she lived in Germany.
