Have you seen this forum, where Gilberto and Jen Strack speak about "Sokolowo, Dulsk Parish", and the same parents, Julius Kantorski and Anna Trojanowska?

That would mean Wladyslawa born 11 September 1864, then more children, a boy Vladislaw (Wladyslaw) born in 1873, and eventualy Julia Kantorska born 22 May 1874.

Just realized that Paulina Trojanowska, godparent, and Anna z Trojanowskich wife of Juljan, have the same name. We might have godparents being brother and sister or parents.

Sometimes the godparents were the parents of the married couple, but sometimes just friends, no general rule. In two original Testimonium I have in Latin from Przemysl, the godparents were friends.

It is possible that Kantorski Julian and Kantorski Michal were brothers, or cousins, the name is the same.

However I do not think that Michal and Paulina were husband/wife, I guess it should have been noted in records (the name of married women is recorded in my Testimonium, with "wife of" in Latin: uxor).

Still, in my case, my grand-father lived in Przemysl circa 60 km from the village he was born and his family stayed, while my grand-mother was also away from her own village. Travelling in circa 1910 was not so easy (even with booming railways). In Przemysl they had friends, and friends were asked to be godparents.

NB. Somewhere between the WWI and WWII the Polish orthographe evolved, and "j" (long "i") evolved to "i". My Aunt document from Lwow University shows Marja, whilest later her firstname was written Maria. I guess it's the same for Juljan.

Here goes the translation:

It did happen in Dulik (?) - Dulsk

On the eleventh day of September one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four years (11 September 1864) at noon (12:00 noon).

Presented himself Kantorski Juljan, a miller from Sokolow, twenty-four years old (24).

In the presence of Francis Zielinski, an innkeeper from Sokolow, thirty years old (33), and Wawrzyniec Rutkowski, the soltys (soltys is a village head, similar to city major), fifty years old (50), both from Sokolow,
he presented us a female child born in Sokolow, on the seventh day of the current month and year (7 September 1864) at five in the evening (17:00), to his wife Anne Trojanowski of twenty-two years old (22).

On the holy baptism ceremony today the child has been given the name of Wladyslawa, and his godparents were Michal Kantorski and Paulina Trojanowska.

This act was read to the present, unfamiliar with reading and writing, and signed just by ourselves, priest Smolanski (?)

W obec Franciszka Zielinskiego karczmarza lat trzydziesci i Wawrzynca Rutkowskiego soltysa lat piecdziesiat majacych o bydwoch w Sokolowie i okazal nam dziecko plci zenskiej urodzone w Sokolowie dnia siodmego miesiaca i roku biezacych (07.09.1864) o godzinie piatej wieczornej (17:00) z jego malzonki Anny z Trojanowskich lat dwadziescia dwa majacej. Dziecieciu temu na chrzcie swietym w dniu dzisiejszym odbytym nadane zostalo imie Wladyslawa, a rodzicami jego chrzestnymi byli Michal Kantorski i Paulina Trojanowska. Akt ten ostawajacym pisac nieumiejacym przeczytany, przez nas tylko podpisany zostal. Ks. Smolanski (???)
