Richard, Jan Łubniewski was my great-grandfather's brother from Jasenowka, now Belarus. We had a correspondence with him until 1950th. His niece Irena Łubniewski is still alive.

Actually I was seeking Dentkos in geneteka, and found only two answers for the whole database, two Dętkoś in Zasów, same voievodship as Lubla - Podkarpackie (that was in Galicja)

I wonder if Jan Józef Łubniewski met Anna Maria Dętkoś (actually her name could be Maryanna as well) in Poland or already in the US. The reason is that the distance between Jasionowka and Lubla is more than 500 km, not realy a social neighborhood.

I searched a little on the Łubniewski side, those connected with Wilno.

1.
Two homonyms, one of them well known professor, born in Dołhinów (today Belarus, not far away of Lithuania, a place which was part to Wilno district). His bio with photo is here http://wsa.dbc.wroc.pl/biogramy/dane/51.html
It is worth to mention that after WWII an enormous part of Polish population from Kresy (Eastern borders) moved or were displaced to the Western part.
