According to the document, he was originally born in the Posen region, but during World War I but later moved to Bavaria, where he enlisted. The document, dated around December 1914, indicates that he served in a Reserve Division and fought in some battles, including the Battle of Ypres.<br /> <br /> I have been mostly able to decipher the German handwriting except a small section labeled “Sonstige Bemerkungen”. It contains a short handwritten note.
