Odcecki, you can see that Geneteka has indexed the 1904 baptism record for Anastazja Dolezy, which was in the parish of Wolbrom:

Clicking on the word "skan" for her will take you to Skanoteka, where you can see the image of the actual page of the church book. It is record #106:

I cannot read Russian but that is the record that the index takes you to.

I tried to include a link to a Wikipedia article about Dłużec but my link did not work. In short, it says that Dłużec was formed in 1931 in the Olkuskie district in the Kielce voivodeship, but that it was called Wolbrom at the time your Anastazja was born. Since the document you have is a certificate written by the priest in 1939, he used the appropriate name of the town as it was in 1939.

Hi Odcecki,

You are just millimeters from the finish line! Your difficulty is not so much in reading the handwriting as it is in understanding that the Polish language adds endings to words (and, as is the case here) to names.

Let's start with your puzzle about "Grzegorza." That "a" on the end is rather like our word "of" meaning "belonging to." So the phrase "syn Grzegorza" translates to "son of Grzegorz."

Similarly, you see that Anastazja is "córka Andrzeja" meaning "daughter of Andrzej."

On female names, which typically end in the letter "a" the ending also gets changed, in this case to a "y". Andrzej Zak is "syn Marianny z Nowińskich" which means the son of Marianna, who is of the Nowiński family. As a female, her surname would have been Nowińska, while males in the family would have been Nowiński.

Anastazja's mother was Marcjanna Ciuła.

I'm sure you'd still like to have a full translation of the document, and I hope that maybe Barb will be able to help with that, and of course make any corrections to what I have written if she reads this differently.
