Hello,
I am hoping for some help. My great grandfather, Jozéf Ludwik Postawko was born March 19, 1874. His marriage records state that he was born in Kowno. His brother, Wincenty Nicholas, was born in 1876 in Wilkomierz. I've recently found an older sister to them both who was born around 1860 although no one knows the exact date. Her name is Zofia Postawko Buklis. I've found some records with these titles after searching for Jozéf's birth information on the ePaveldas website: "Kaunas St. Alphabetical index of Trinity RKB birth metrics. 19th century Second half which includes 1874," and
"Kaunas St. Trinity RKB Birth Metrics Book. 1871--1875." I don't know if this is the correct church though. My questions are, how do I find the correct church and how do I translate the records? I've watched your videos and gone through the data base of last names and villages to no avail. I am stuck and could really use some help. Thank you advance to anyone that can help me.
