Fraktur occurs in genealogy records as a typeface more than as a style of handwriting. If it were in Fraktur, I would have been able to transliterate it for you. This handwriting is actually Kurrent script (&quot;Kurrentschrift&quot;) which you can read more about, here:<br /> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurrent" target="_blank">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurrent</a><br /> It is always fascinating to see how smoothly writers of that period could switch on and off between handwriting styles, as the Kurrent writing was often used for most of the text, while often surnames and place names were done in a script much more legible to us.
