She was born in 1924, in what is now Orkhovychi, Ukraine. However, in 1924 that area of Ukraine was occupied by Poland. I tried the local registrar office in the region, however the could not locate the record. I am wondering if I should be contacting Poland, as apposed to Ukraine given the occupation.
