I am looking for people who would have the opportunity to take photos at the Amsterdam Saint Stanislaus Cemetery and the Saint Stepphens Cemetery Memorial in Hagaman near Amsterdam. Please help. there are no photos on the findagrave website. I need Jacob Baker (died 1960), Adeline Baker (d. 2003) from Hagaman and John Baker (d. 1921) and Wiktoria Andrzejewska (d. 1924) from Amsterdam
Hi Iwona,
Nice to see you back! For anyone else who is reading this, the Amsterdam that Iwona is interested in is the one in New York state.
Iwona, are you familiar with the group Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness? There are volunteers who do various tasks in genealogy, including looking up records and even visiting cemeteries. Generally they work for free, sometimes they ask for money to cover their gas or travel costs. Here is their website:
https://raogk.org/
And, more specifically to New York state, https://raogk.org/lookups/region/newyork/
I looked to see whether anyone does cemetery photos in Montgomery County and the answer is no. However, there is a volunteer who covers Warren County and one who covers Oneida County. Those places are not very distant from Montgomery County, so maybe someone would be willing to help you.
Best of luck!
