Just a note: my imagination, now thinks it is the name for the small town they lived in "Marschall" not Thomas.
Wishful thinking, because recently I had found in a neighboring town, a potential birth record for Josephus, fathers name Thomas.

Hi Michael, I am hoping you can provide some additional information for me from the attached 1766 Marriage record.

The Catholic Church book that this record was from, had been indexed sometime after the original. You will notice in the side column, the last names of the persons on the record. The indexer adjusts the spelling of Josephus last name from Smid to Schmid.
This was a difficult book to go through.
I believe the date is 7 February 1766.
Josephus Smid
Elizabeth Limerin
My imagination is seeing Thomas ??? last word on first line for this marriage, or not???
Any additional information would be helpful.

Thank you in advance.
