Thank you! This makes sense. I was trying to figure out how somebody from Mrowiny would have met and married someone from so far away (for the time). I will keep digging.

Lola,

Unfortunately, no online records for Zmyslowo. Hilary's birth record could contain the information about the place of origin for Franciszek.
http://szukajwarchiwach.pl/search?q=zmyslowo

However, when I was looking at the Poznan Archives holdings for Zmyslowo, it has caught my attention the name of a place: Mrowino.

Mrowino (mapa.szukacz.pl zoom it at 14 dot 6 m) is located one mile Northwest of Zmyslowo.
It makes sense, in my opinion, that Zuzanna's birth place is this Mrowino and not that Mrowiny in dolnoslaskie.

Poznan, at that time, was the name of the city and also of the province.
I could not find a marriage for them in Poznan project, because it covers up to 1899 only.
http://poznan-project.psnc.pl/

I had a second look at the ship manifest. Maybe there was a typo there, due to the proximity of the letters C and D on the keyboard. With that in mind I assume the place typed is, actually, Gozdanin.

There is a Gozdanin in gmina Mogilno, powiat mogilenski, kujawsko-pomorskie province. It is located about 50 miles East of Poznan. It was part of the Poznan province by then. No on line records, so far:
http://szukajwarchiwach.pl/search?q=gozdanin&order=

I have found his entry in 1940 and the place is typed GOZCANIN to him and Mrowiny to her (ok, it is in gmna Zarow, powiat swidnicki, woj. dolnoslakie. So far, no online records: http://szukajwarchiwach.pl/search?q=mrowiny)

I believe the place name for Franciszek is misspelled. Trouble is, there are lots of places starting GOS and GOZ. What makes you think it was in Poznan?
What is the source for his birth date?
Did they marry in Poland or in Argentina?
Hello, I'm looking for records of my Polish ancestors. My great-grandfather was named Franciscus Polacki (sometimes Polaski, Polasky), born January 19, 1879 in Poznan (Gozanin)? He was married to Suzanna Czwojdzinski ( a guess based on family memories/pronunciation), born on August 8, 1888, possibly in Mrowiny. They emigrated to America in 1911 with son Hilary (Helarino), aged about 1. Settled in Rochester, NY - went to Argentina at some point, and returned again in 1940.
