I have partially translated this 1837 marriage record from St. Michael the Archangel parish in Cieklin, Poland.
I am wondering if you can help with the missing notes surrounding the entry. This marriage took place two months after his first wife died in the influenza epidemic.

Here is what I was able to translate:
17 April 1837, from houses #10 (bride) and 40 (groom). Michael Macuga, son of Jacob Macuga and Agnes Ciuła, Catholic widower age 38, and Anna, daughter of Theophan (?) Twardzik and Therese Dedo, Catholic single age 35.

I've attached the entry.
Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Here are several corrections and the additional data.

The house numbers are FROM (e numero) number 10 of the bride TO (ad numerum) number 40 of the groom. The preposition “from” has two forms in Latin e and ex. The gist is that the bride moved into the residence of the groom.

Given names should be rendered in their Polish form since the parties spoke Polish rather than English. Michael = Michał; Jacob = Jakub; Agnes = Agnieszka. The father of the bride’s name in Latin appears as Stephani (The Genitive Singular of Stephanus). His given name in English is Stephen, which has two forms in Polish—Stefan and Szczepan. Anna is Anna in Polish; Therese is Teresa in Polish. The text states that the groom is the son of the legitimate marital bed of the named parents and that the bride is the daughter of the legitimate marital bed of her parents. The witnesses were Gabriel Macuga, a farmer; Paweł Kaminski, a farmer; Józef Kaminski, a farmer; and Jan ???kiewicz, a farmer.

The notes at the bottom state that the consent of the noble owner of Cieklin was given on 16 April, 1837. On 17 April, 1837 Jan Dyszynski, the parish administrator, blessed this marriage.

Everything else is OK.
