I have an ancestor, Pawel Sokolowski, born 1771, in the Jaminy region. His mother was named Marianna Jurgiel. Is anybody familiar with this name? It sounds a bit Lithuanian to me; I know the origin is related to the name for &quot;George.&quot; I also see that the member of the Sejm for the Bialystock region has the same last name. But at this point, I don't see any more mention of this name..<br />
