My surname is Urbanek. I always thought it was a diminutive of a city dweller.
Pelczarski is the surname of my paternal grandmother. There are also Pelczar's in my family.
Flis is the surname of my maternal grandfather. It seems to mean Raftsman and is the title of a Polish opera.
Cendrowski is the surname of my maternal grandmother. Don't know anything about it.

Can you help with the meaning of any of these?
