I found Polish webpages for Górny Śląsk - Królewska Huta (google translate Upper Silesia - Royal Foundry). Apparently Królewska Huta is now known as Chorzów. Also in German it would be Königshütte. ~PL

                                      Hi
I came accross this Chicago marriage register for Joseph Hepner the son of Emmanuel Hepner and Rose Zielonka.
It appears that he is from Karolewska Huta "Szlsek"?
Hi,
I came across this location name as the ancestral home of Hepner and Zielonka who immigrated circa 1885 from Germany/Poland.
They were early immigrants to Chicago and unfortunately early documents do not have much genealogy information.
I was able to locate four (4) locations in present-day Poland with the name Gorny Slask but they all appear to be outside of the old Germany partition.
Any thoughts?
