Welcome to the Forum joejazz,

At the end of 19th century there were two Zmysłów nearby Rzeszow, both in Kolbuszowa county. The first Zmysłów was a settlement belonging to Wilcza Wola village and parish. The second belonged to Trzebinka village, unfortunately no longer existing on the map as well as in old the old sources I have access to.

There are no records in State Archives from Wilcza Wola parish. If there any records exist they can be found either in today's local parish for Wilcza Wola in Spie (click here: http://www.sandomierz.opoka.org.pl/strdiec/parafie.php?p=179 ) or in Bishops Archives, most probably in Sandomierz (contact information: http://www.sandomierz.opoka.org.pl/strdiec/kuriawydz.php#archiwum #4 ).

Anyway, if you are sure your grandfather came from Rzeszow region, Zmysłów village the area of your search should be narrowed to Kolbuszowa county (click here for the map: http://tr.im/p9A6 - Wilcza Wola is a few miles north east from Kolbuszowa).

Searching for information on Dec family in the Zmyslow area of Poland near Rzeszow. My grandmother, Katarzyna Dec immigrated to the US around 1911.

Any information or ideas where to look?

Any ideas on Catholic Churches in the area for that time period?
