The Father's name Konstanty Szymkiewicz seemed like a typical Polish name no big deal. The mother however was named Julia Dowt; a name I can't seem to find on any lists for Polish or Lithuanian surnames. <br /> <br /> I am not an expert on surnames by any stretch, but this one seems to me to be possibly German or some other ethinicity. Maybe it is Polish and it is just a shortened name?
