John,
Congratulations for your Christmas Miracle!! And the Tip for all of us to realize that using the "Sound" of how a word is pronounced in Polish as a different way to look for a record. This may be a help when we can not find those Ellis Island records we seek! The trick would be to always be able to find someone who can teach us the correct Polish Sound of the name, to give us the idea of where to look for the record.
You will have a truly Happy Holiday this year!
Think I just found the needle in the haystack. I've always been looking for Przelenski roots, and Sonnenfeld. Just found voyage record that matches and has Wheeling as a destination. Took a long time, but Przelenski was Schewinski in sound, so Chewinsky matching sonnenfeld and Wheeling in 1882 is like finding a holy grail. Thanks to Elzbieta and others for all their help.
