Your father is my great uncle! Katherine Cwiklowski was my great grandmother. She and Stefan had two sons Frank and Stanley, and a daughter Mary. Stanley was my grandfather. So Benny and Harold would be his half brothers. My grandpa Stanley and his wife Josephine had three boys my father Stefan, Joe, and Stanley (Junior). They did live in St. Louis. Great grandfather Stefan, Katherine, and my grandfather Stanley, and Benny are buried in St. Louis. Frank in Union, MO and Harold in Hawk Point, MO. I do not have any information on Mary.

He came to the US in 1913 and married his first wife Katherine Cwiklowski and she passed away in 1931 he had 3 children with her and then he remarried and had my father with his 2nd wife her name is Anita Sumowski or Sumoski. Dmytro Szumowski came to the US in 1910 on the President Lincoln. His wife Maria Kutko Szumowska and son Wladyslaw followed in the later part of 1911 or early 1912..not sure about the actual date. He settled in Chicago and raised his family. Dmytro and Stefan were in fact brothers. I really do not have information on a sister in Lomza..was she married?

I am looking for any relatives of my great grandfather Stefan Szumowski or Sumowski or his brother Dmytro Szumowski that may still be in Poland. My grandfather came to the US in 1913. When he passed away he left behind some letters that I was able to get translated at the Polish museum in Chicago. He was writing to his sister in Lomza. Unfortunately I can't remember her name but I think it started with a M. In his letters he also mentioned someone by the name of Stach in Poland.
