Parzygnat is humorous or even contemptuous term for a cook . Parzy- „to burn, to boil”, gnat colloquially „bone”.

In 2002 there were 345 people bearing the surname Parzygnat living in Poland and more than a half of all lived in the Nowy Targ county.
