Hi Tad,

I do not know the film you are asking about but I found information about Rożnowski noble families living in 19th century that I thought might interest you.

According to Spis Szlachty Polskiej (Register of Polish Nobility) compiled by Jerzy Sewer count Dunin-Borkowski and published in 1887 in Lwow there were four noble Rożnowski families.

Hi Everyone!

A trivia question........ there must be someone out there in cyberspace who is a repository of infinite wisdom.

Can someone give me information concerning the following book and/or film please? Unfortunately, I don't know the title of either.

The storyline in the book was about a man by the name of Roznowski who was educated in St. Petersburg and migrated to America (when I don't know). He became successful and started a chain of five-star hotels in America. He then expanded his hotel chain throughout Europe.

The film is based on the book and tells the story of Mr Roznowski's life and the hotel empire he created under the name of "Baron". I remember watching the movie (possibly in the 1980s) on Australian television. I believe it was produced in America.
