If you want to write a letter, not to make call, I can see three options here:

1. Write to this Maciejewski providing his full name, street name without number, postal code - 86-013 Mąkowarsko. Usually postmen know inhabitants and their address and he (or she) should deliver the letter under correct address.

2. Try to write to priest, however there is a risk that you will never hear back.

3. Take Henryk's advise and write to local authorities.

Good luck

For small villages the gmina municipal office is often cooperative in connecting relatives. Try an email in Polish and English, giving sufficient information that it can be relied upon that you may be a relative.
Gmina Koronowa:
sekretariat @ um.koronowo.pl
Would it be possible to find an address another way do you think??? Or would you recommend I send a letter via the church there?? All the relatives can be found as members of that church going back 100+ years. What do you think?
A Polish friend referred me to http://wap.ksiazka-telefoniczna.com/index.php where he found a Maciejewski with his phone number. Since I don't speak Polish, I would like to write him a letter (and get it translated of course) to see if he is part of our family. How can I find the address??

Do you mean Mąkowarsko located about 100 miles north from Poznan, map: http://bit.ly/c4Khhb If yes, the website of the St. Lawrence Church, including contact details is here: http://makowarsko-parafia.pl/ .

I always recommend to try first other ways of obtaining records than directly from parishes because of the fact, that priests not too often reply to such requests. What years are you interested in? In the State Archives in their Bydgoszcz branch there are some book from the parish from the end of 19th century, click here for details: http://bit.ly/9fL9ZA .
