It is possible that Calau, Posen is Kalau, Posen. It is now Kalawa, Poland.

If you want to take advantage of other members' hints please upload the document with the place of last residence.

The only Calau I found is a town located about 55 km (34 miles) from German Polish border nearby Cottbus in Brandenburg. But distance between this Calau and Poznan is about 264 km (164 miles). Click here for map: http://bit.ly/ebBVfv .

Just found a possible connection on castle garden.........They say their last residence was Calau.....Another family member lists Posen as their last home. Hmmmm. Anyone have any insight on this? No listing for this family on the Poznan Project.
