Grigori Karataev was born in Stolpzy, Barahovich, Poland on September 25, 1923 to Peter Karataev (father) and Lucery Barsova (mother). He came to the United States of America after World War 2, he married Lida Antipowa, and died in Los Angeles, California in 1988.
