Jerzy is sometimes rendered as George.
Records from 1917 are not expected to be online, due to privacy law (less than 100 years old), but you can request a copy to the Civil Register Office, in order to know who his parents were.

In Nasza Klasa, (nk.pl) a sort of social media, shows 4 Kuch still living in Jaroslaw: Macek Kuch, Ewelina Luty, and Patrycja Kuch and Witold Kuch. Ewelin has a Facebook page (the one who lives in Jaroslaw). From what I understand Kuch is her maiden name.
