Hello,

I wanted to share this in case anyone is interested. I'm not sure if I'm posting it the right place though.A new company from England called LivingDNA is working to build a worldwide genetic family tree as well as producing a fine-scale map of the world's ancestry and this includes Poland and East Europe

Link to project homepage
https://www.livingdna.com/en-us/one-family/research

Link to map of 11 genetic regions proposed for Poland
https://www.livingdna.com/en-us/one-fam ... rch/poland

Link to map of 67 genetic regions proposed for Eastern Europe, Caucasus, and Siberia.
https://www.livingdna.com/en-us/one-fam ... us-siberia

For the project they are looking for people with all four grandparents born within 80km (50miles) of each other. To participate you can upload genetic results from 23andMe, FTDNA, etc. for DNA relative matching in 2018 ONLY(No ancestry region breakdown) or purchase a kit at a discount if you qualify for the project. If you buy a disocunted kit you get genetic ancestry broken down into 80 genetic regions, mtDNA results, YDNA results in around 3 months and will get relative matching in 2018. Once the projects are complete ancestry area results will be updated and broken down in the genetic areas found through the projects.

If you don't qualify for the projects and still want to take the test in cost €129,00 (U.S. $99) and you get ancestry broken down into 80 genetic areas, mtDNA results, YDNA results, and will late get relative matching in 2018 and result updates once the new areas from the projects are added.

Link to LivingDNA homepage
https://www.livingdna.com/en-eu/ancestry

Link to map of current 80 genetic regions offered
https://www.livingdna.com/en-eu/family-ancestry

If anyone would be willing to translate this to Polish or move this in other/correct place in the forum I would appreciate it.

I really would like to see this project do well since Polish and East Europe genetics tend to be mostly ignored compared to North and Western Europe. Plus seeing what a genetic ancestry map of Poland will look like would be wonderful and so would getting Polish DNA relative matches.
