Dębrowski (Dembrowski) is not very popular surname in Poland (see Geneteka links). It's the most likely that it was Dąbrowski (Dombrowski) and got changed over the time, outside Poland.

Dębrowski 17 records
http://geneteka.genealodzy.pl/index.php?search_lastname=d%C4%99browski&search_lastname2=&from_date=&to_date=&rpp1=&bdm=&w=&op=se&lang=eng&exac=1

Dąbrowski over 43000 records
http://geneteka.genealodzy.pl/index.php?search_lastname=d%C4%85browski&search_lastname2=&from_date=&to_date=&rpp1=&bdm=&w=&op=se&lang=eng&exac=1

I would try also looking for Debrowsky or Dabrowsky as the "ski" tends to be misspelled as "sky".

There is one Julius Dombrowsky that arrived to Baltimore in 1887...
Hope it helps.

I found Birth records of his children who were born in Jeannette, PA, and surrounding towns. His family moved to Erie, PA and settled there. His wife’s name was Mathilda, also Teofila, which may have been her middle name. He died in 1948, in Erie.

Debrowski is the correct name to spell that name with a diacritical mark above the e. This mark means the letter e is pronounced em in Polish. Dembrowski would be the Anglicized version of the name.

Have you been able to find him in any census records. Perhaps if you tell us in what town he lived, his wife's name and children's we can do some searching since you feel like you have exhausted everything. We might get lucky for you.
My maternal great grandfather, born in 1857, arrived in US from Poland and I'm trying to find when/where he arrived in US, along with his town of origin. I use Ancestry, and come up with nothing. A ship's manifest may tell me what town/village in Poland he came from, and who he may have come with. He settled in northern Pennsylvania sometime in late 1800s.
