Hi,

1. I can't find Jastrzębia but i've found Jastrzębna (now divided into Pierwsza and Druga / First and Second)

2. Link to actuall local authority : http://bip.ug.sztabin.wrotapodlasia.pl/ and email ugsztabin@sztabin.ug.gov.pl to verify if they have in USC (civil registry office) docs from Jastrzębna. You would find death certificate.

Imo "Kolonaz" -> "koło nas" so it means "near us". Letter from 1941 so during WW2 and was she writtng about actuall situation?

Hello,
I'm looking for information related to Maryjanna Żylińska. All I have is a letter written by her in 1941 to her relatives in Michigan. The relatives' names are Wierzbolowicz and Ostapowicz. In her letter she has 4 children, the oldest being a daughter. At the time she was living in Wies. Jastrzębia,Gmina. Lipsk
Powiat Augustów. She mentions "Kolonaz is a the grave where 48 persons lie".
