He arrived in Ellis Island in 1914. I see that there is a Minsk in Poland, east of Warsaw as well as in what is now Belarus.<br /> He was Russian Orthodox, served in the Russian Army, his passport was issued by Russia, he traveled from Liepaja(?) on the ship Russia, but I believe he spoke Polish...married my grandmother who was Polish.<br /> Any suggestions on how, where to look to solve this dilemma?
