If you are planning to stay in the Zakopane area please consider staying in Nowy Targ. Your are close enough to visit Zakopane but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful quite of a small town charm. My personal friend Charles Frederick is from Colorado and teaches English in Grońkow. So they speak English, German and Polish between him and his wife Malgosia.

"Villa Margarita is located in the town of Nowy Targ. This excellent location is close to many tourist attractions that you can enjoy in the immediate area. In the winter nearby in Bialka Tatranska and Bukowina Tatranska there are many ski slopes. You can enjoy the two nearest ski lifts within a 10 minute drive at Zadail and Dlugi Polano. Nowy Targ is a great place to vacation as the Gorce, Pieniny and the Tatra Mountain’s are within a short drive from Villa Magarita".

"Downtown in Nowy Targ you can enjoy the famous Market square, bazaars, restaurants and taverns. There is ice skating and Hockey at club Podhale, cross-country skiing along the White Dunajec River, tennis courts, sailing on Lake Czorsztyn and you can enjoy the soothing geothermal pools at Banska Nizna and Bukowina Tatranska."
My cousin stayed here last summer and couldn't believe the price, 50 zloty, that's $17 a night!
