Although this thread is 2 years old, Googling my family name brought me to this page. I beleive you have found the family you are looking for. Robert and Irmgard are my Grandfather and Grandmother.

Could it be Skupien, as it is a very Polish name. Polish (Skupien): nickname for someone noted for great powers of concentration, from Polish skupic ‘to concentrate’.

I am looking for the family of the above couple. They were on the ship the anna salen which docked in Fremantle, Australia on the 31st December 1950.

Does anyone know if Zupins is a polish surname.
