Ryszard,
The fathers of the two children in these birth records were my great uncles (my grandfather's brothers). I haven't found any American records for Ignacy but Jozef came to America several years after my grandfather and settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, near my grandfather. In the American records Jozef's wife spelled her maiden name Domian.
You'll be happy to know that the index of the records available for Myszyniec span only about 10 years and very few scans are available on the internet. I'm sorry that the translations were so difficult, but I don't have the words to tell you how happy I am to have these records!

Rysazrd.
Thank you once again for the most recent translations for Teofila Zaborowska and Jozef Chmielinski. I have shared them with extended family and everyone is fascinated to know more about the lives of our great- great grandparents. We never imagined that we could access this information ! Best regards, Kathy

No. 79

Compiled in the village of Solec on 24 July/5 August, 1884, at 8:00 PM. Appeared Kazimierz Solecki, 40, peasant day laborer residing in the village of Welnin, in the presence of Franz Zombka [Zombek], 44, and Michal Waljusk [Wasijusk ?], 46, peasants residing in the village of Welnin, who presented us with a male infant, declaring that he was born today, 24 July/5 August in the village of Welnin at midnight, of his legal wife Agnieszka nee Juszikowa [Juszik?], 40. At the rite of Holy Baptism conducted today by the priest listed below, the child was given the name of BARTOLOMEJ. Godparents were Franz Zombek and Helena Wasijuskowa [Waljusk?]. This act was read aloud to the illiterate witnesses and signed only by us. Fr. Drapkowski, Registrar of Civil Acts.
Translator note: These two records, probably compiled in the same parish by 2 different scribes, present several of the problems encountered in this sort of record. Note particularly the spelling of the village: is it Welin or Welnin? In both cases, the handwriting is very clear, but the spelling is inconsistent.
