Post subject: Let's Thank the Translators
PolishOrigins has always been a place where our members have come together for help and to give help. When I joined PolishOrigins, I knew nothing about Polish genealogy or how to speak/read the language. I've learned a lot since I joined in 2009 and I am so grateful that the members here were so willing to help me get started.
However, the generosity of our members who provide translations is most remarkable and the most selfless "acts of genealogy kindness."
I want to take this opportunity to give a sincere and heartfelt thank you to Ryszard (Staripolak64), Elizbieta, Zenon, Gilberto, and Jozefs (rest his soul), and any other member for sharing their expertise so we can move forward with our research.
To show my support and express my thanks, I've made a donation to PolishOrigins in memory of my great-grandfather Stanislaw, who left Poland to work in the coal mines in Pennsylvania and raised a large family of Polish Americans.
Please take a minute to leave a message of thanks for the members who've interpreted for you.
If you would like to make a donation, you can read more here:

When I first joined Polish Origins, I think I must have read every new message. There is quite a bit of wisdom here, and I thank everyone that has shared their knowledge and time. I was especially amazed when I ran into the Russian translation forum, and read how Ryszard didn't want any compensation for his translations. I didn't need any Russian translations, but I thought it was wonderful that someone would be kind enough to do that. Zenon had suggested that if you appreciate the services, it would be nice gesture to make a donation to keep this website online. I felt that was the least I could do when Zenon translated some Polish family history of mine.
Of course now other kind souls have translated Polish, Latin, and I think other languages as well. Bless all of your hearts! Elzbieta was kind enough to translate what was written on the back of a photo for me. The person I had hired years ago, wasn't able to read it. I hope that there isn't anyone that takes this for granted.
Thank you!
Cheri
