My name is Richard Kenneth Krasowski Jr. (b 7-28-62). I am from Chicago, Illinois. My father was Richard Kenneth Krasowski (5-1-40 to 3-5-83). His parents were:

Wenceslaus (Walter) A. Krasowski (b 10-29-10) and Martha T. Andrzejewski (7-26-15 to 11-21-03) Married on 5-31-36.

Wenceslaus's parents were: Joseph Krasowski (d 1941) and Paulina Pankiewicz (d 1950)

Martha's parents were: Jakub Andrzejewski and Martha Krol (married 1907)

This is as far back as I can go. I would love to know more about my relatives. If you can help, please let me know.

Richard,

I was able to locate the record of Jakub and Marta's marriage. It took place at St. Joseph's on Hermitage Ave. on January 21, 1907. The entry lists Jakub's parents as Jozef/Joseph Andrzejewski and Jozefa/Josephine Lakomiak. Marta's parents are Walenty/Valentine Krol and Katarzyna/Catherine Kwiatkowska. The record is found on page 71 of the marriage register under marriage #18 for the year 1907. Unfortunately, the record does not state where their parents were from in Poland, but it is a start.
The Polish Genealogical Society of America (www.pgsa.org) has a database with an index of all the marriages in Polish parishes in Chicago until 1915 and that is where the information of where the marriage took place was found. The online record is from the Family Search site. The Krasowski-Pankiewicz marriage does not appear on the index because obviously they were not of marriageable age until well after 1915. If you know the parish where they were married, your best bet would be to contact the church and ask for a copy of the actual entry from the marriage register and not just a certificate since the actual entry usually contains more info than would be found on a certificate.

Wishing you success in your research,

Dave
