Here are a couple more web sites that may be helpful in family research.
These sites focus on General Haller's Polish Army in WW I.

Haller's army was known as " The Blue Army " , because of its blue French uniforms.

Clik on a site, and enter the name you are searching for.

This site had an interesting link that gave the names and locations of Polish / Americans, who volunteered to join Haller's army
