In order to help you, it would help if you gave us all the information you have.
How did you learn "Will Tessman" (was that his full given name?) emigrated, and was
"Lpno Polin" the spelling you found?

That sounds like a German surname, was that person German? If so, I did find
many "Tessmann's" and one "William Tessmann" in the SGGEE.ORG data base.
(SGGEE is a German's from Eastern Europe genealogy website)
This William Tessmann was born in 1850 about 40 miles south of Lipno

Peter Will married Louisa Tessman, Krystyan Tessman 15 Jan 1810, Goluchowo, on the Vistula River and Ephreusina Golnick 27 Apr 1810, Brandnenski, Hollendry her mother and father, Krystyan Tessman 1777 married Ewe Berent, father of Krystyan. Hollendry is a type of self government for a village that German colonists in Poland used.
Goluchowo is in Gmina (district) Chrostkowo in Lipno County. An area that had as many Germans as
Poles living there in the 19th century. That larger area is also known a Dobrinaland ..

Go to the SGGEE.ORG home page and look for & sign up for their email list. You may find others looking for
those surnames.
You will be able to find records of many Tessman's in Plock and Lipno and the surrounding area on their site.
