Hello,

I have stumbled upon a roadblock in my research. I am wondering if anyone has any information on the Dymek family in Plotsk (Plock?) of Russian-Poland in the 19th century.

I have asked Mr. Hoffman for help regarding this issue, and it seems that the name appears as far back as 1399, from a Kmiec. Of course, due to the relative frequency of the name, he expressed doubts that they are all related, and I'm inclined to agree. If anyone has any good leads on church directories in the region that would help out a lot.

Hi,

Geneteka shows 5 Dymek in Plock Imielnica. In mazowieckie province it counts about 300 records of birth, marriage and death all over the province (Plock was both a city and a gubernia, by then).
