here is some basic information about the surnames Ciećwierski and Cietwierski: both come from Polish word cietrzew- „black grouse”.
In 2002 there were only 61 individuals using the surname Ciećwierski living in Poland. Detailed map of the surname distribution can be found here: https://nazwiska-polskie.pl/Cie%C4%87wierski. Unfortunately there is no data for Cietwierski.
I think that the pronounciation of Ciecierski is easier, however accordingly to Hoffman's "Polish surnames" Ciecierski surname has different origins: this is the toponym, from the villages: Cieciersk, Ciecierzyn, Cieciorka (several villages in Poland with those names).
