Post subject: Help finding a village near the Wisla river
We are trying to track down a village called Pomoze (the z sounds like "Je" in New Jersay)
The only facts we know is that it was a small village that was next to the Wisla river
Thanks

Probably Pomorze, of which there are two near the Wisła.
===Pomorze 255 osób woj. mazowieckie pow. ciechanowski gmina Opinogóra Górna.
5km east of Ciechanów on the Wisła. Parish is Ciechanów.
===Pomorze woj. lubelskie pow. opolski gmina Opole Lubelskie.
2 km north of Opole, 10 km east of Wisła. Parish is Opole.

Thank you for the quick answer
I was looking on the map in both options and both seems as far as I can see "relativly" far from the river
The memoirs concerning the place dates back 70+ years ago, can it be another village that today changed his name or is no longer exists?
[it's a longshot but maybe in the area of Wloclawek or Wyszogrod?]

Pomoze is not in the 1880s Georaphical Dictionary of the Polish Kingdom.

Searching using zoom levels 12 and 13 did not show anything near Wloclawek or Wyszogrod.

Hi,
Could it be Podgorze ? It's very close to Wisla, between Wloclawek and Wyszogrod, and it spells with a sound "Je" like in Jersey.
Best,
Elzbieta
