Stanislaw Jerawski age 18 --- the Baltimore passenger list says he came from Belomade.
I don't find any town by that name. Can you give me an idea what else it might be?

Leonore,
Could you upload the other page of the manifest?
I am not pretty sure it is a B: maybe 'Pz' or 'Rz" ? Also 'w' rather than 'm'?

Compare the letter B on passengers Franz Witte (Brand...) , Georg Shiffel (Berkstadt) and Magdalena Pucelik (Boh.). In my opinion it is different from the first letter in Stanislaw's arrival. Still, not sure if it is Pz or Rz. Maybe it is a german name, if the ending is ....walde.
Were these departures from Hamburg or Bremen? If Hamburg, maybe the german manifest may clarify the name of the place.

Thank you, Gilberto for the other possibilities.
I hadn't thought about "Pz", had looked at possible "R" which didn't help.
A puzzle to work on ----

Hello,
I think the scan you need is a page earlier in the manifest. I think he's #30. Also, that ship Weimar, carried over several other Jaworsky's a year before his arrival. A Mikolaj Jaworsky and his family. Looks like both departed from Bremen. There's a 1900 census record for Mikolaj in Buffalo NY. Not sure if that helps or not. Also see a 1900 census in Chicago Ill for a Stanly Jaworowski, married to a Sophie around 1896. Not sure if that's your guy. Also, could the location be Belomarte?

John -
My great-uncle Stanley Jerawski was born 1871 in Rypin/Kowalki - Russian area. He was one of 10 children. My grandfather and one brother came to Chicago.
I know two sisters married and stayed in Poland, but three of their children came to Chicago. One brother died in Poland, but that leaves the location of 5, - Alexander, Joseph, Stanley, Sophie, Ignatius, to be found. No Mikolaj's. The Baltimore Passenger list is the closest in name & age for Stanley that I've found so far.
The name is misspelled in so many ways - and I haven't been able to find out if those 5 left Poland or not. The Family History Library films for Rypin end in 1878.
Thank you for the suggestion - I'll go back to my maps to check again.

Leonore,
Do you know what Stanley's father name was? Mikolaj was born in 1845 according to that boarding pass. Was Stanley's wife's name Rosie? Might help connect with a few more details.

John,
Sorry, yes the details are needed. I know the names and birth dates from their record in Rypin/Kowalki, but I've found nothing more that I could connect to them. The parents were Kazimierz Jerawski, and Marianna - Alexander was born Nov 1867, Joseph - July 1869, Stanley - Dec 1871, Sophie - Aug 1876, and Ignatius - July 1879. I know the parents didn't emigrate. And that's all I know about these five. Thanks for trying --
Leonore
