Post subject: The first low-cost flights between Poland and the USA
The first low-fare airline Iceland Express http://icelandexpress.com/ will start transantlantic flights between the USA (New York) and Poland (Warsaw) since June 1, 2010. You can already book roundtrip tickets starting from $700 on the Airline website: http://icelandexpress.com/ .
It is a significant saving on one of the most expensive items which are involved in traveling to the country of your ancestors. If you add to this the option of staying at agritourism houses (click here for the thread in our Forum about this kind of lodging: http://polishorigins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=210 ) and still relatively cheap Polish zloty (click here for current exchange rate of Polish zloty: http://themoneyconverter.com/PLN/USD.aspx ) the whole journey becomes not so expensive as you might expect.
By this occasion I remind you all that we have still a few openings for 2010 Forefathers Traces Tours http://tours.polishorigins.com/ If you are interested contact us to check if the date you may want for your Tour is available.
My daughter flew Iceland Air from Seattle to France last fall and she was very pleased with them and their service. She changed planes in Iceland and could even have stayed there for day or two with no additional charge to her ticket.
