Hello Sir or Madam,
I am searching for older Greek Catholic Church metrical or vital records of the village of Kaczanowka (near Skalat) of former Austria-Galicia. I have exhausted all such records on microfilm from the Mormon (Latter Day Saints) collection of Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. Their records go to 1819 but no further back. Is it possible there are no more older records? I wait for your answer and thank you. Marcia

Marcia,
Someone asked me already similar question - Skalat - here is my short (and not explaining much) memo. Hope it helps a little.
Best,
Elzbieta

Hello Elzbieta,
Thank you for answering my questions...but I do not quite understand. One of the links you sent is only for the Roman Catholic metrics, as i have used this source of information.
I am only interested in the Greek Catholic Church vital records for Kaczanowka before 1819.
Are you saying I should write to the Archives (AGAD) in Warsaw? I will do this if this is what I should do.
Marcia
