An ancestor of mine had never officially became an american citizen - but he did fill out some preliminary paperwork. I still do not know this ancestor's birth town, so hoping this might have uncovered a lead. On the typed form, his birthplace was listed as 'Piasocno Postz, Poland'. A quick google search yielded nothing... Any ideas based on possible mispellings - or phonetic spellings? Based on some past assistance from those on the forum - the tentative birthplace we had listed for him was Sikori, Plock. |

Now I have been able to locate it in Google maps. I'm wondering - is this Piaseczno, lipnowski, Poland in a different 'jurisdiction' than Plock archives? If so, then that would be the reason Plock has been unable to find any birth records. |
