Hi,

Two meanings for your surname:
Polewski - od pole, pół, Polak, od imion z cząstką pol-, typu Polikarp, Apolonia, Leopold lub od niemieckiej nazwy osobowej Pohl, a ta od Pole ‘polak’ lub od Pohl ‘staw’.

Polewski - od polewka, poliwka ‘rodzaj zupy’, polewać, poliwać.

As to the origins you would have to trace back your ancestors.
