I understand there are families in the Szlatchia (sorry spg?) The one I am curious about is the Szeliga Heraldry painted on the wall of the Castle...Herb Szeliga_Baranow Sandomierski Castle.

Please can someone explain the Cross UNDER the Half Moon for me. Is it to do with Religion or symbolic for family, Army ??? Catholic?? Crusaders??? I am very curious to know.. So appreciate anyone putting me out of my misery lol..... thank you

9th August 2015 Edited my question as I certainly did have my question worded incorrectly... I had the moon over instead of under the cross... sorry if I had mislead anybody.
I have been still, unsuccessful in gaining knowledge to the symbolic meaning to the crescent moon under the cross. I have google'd and cannot get a understanding of it.
Could anybody please assist me..?
