Spent hours searching online maps for the parish of Plyzca/Plycze to no avail.

Also mentioned in this Lublin marriage record is Lukjzna (?) and I am rather bewildered about that, too.

I see the groom lives in Rypin.

Hope someone can make head or tail of this!

Thanks

Helena

Helena, what you read as Lukjzna is the word tutejszym.
Rypin is in kujawsko-pomorskie.

The local! Hahaha stupid me. I can't read the old handwriting at all. Thanks!

Gilberto I cannot understand why my thread is duplicated on here. I shall have to delete this one, I think.

On the other one, Elzbieta states that "Groom is from Rypin, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, born in parish Ptycza - that is in Wolyn, today in Ukraina" but you say it's another Rypin, north of Warsaw. How can I decide what's right?

Kujawsko-pomorskie wojewodztwo = Kuyavian-Pomerania voivodeship.

Same place.
