Spent hours searching online maps for the parish of Plyzca/Plycze to no avail.

Also mentioned in this Lublin marriage record is Lukyzna (?) and I am rather bewildered about that, too.

I see the groom lives in Rypin.

Hope someone can make head or tail of this!

Thanks

Helena

Helena,

I have no date of your record, but I guess from the content and from Polish orthography that it is after 1936, probably after WWII.
That means 2 million people have been moved, Curzon line, and no more Kresy.

Groom is from Rypin, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, born in parish Ptycza - that is in Wolyn, today in Ukraina.
Bride is from Lublin, parish in Lublin, easy.

I need original to figure out what is Lukyzna.

Ptycza is near Werba,

Hope this helps.
Best,

Forgive me for not including a date with that record. I didn't think it was relevant. How wrong I (always) am! It was 1929.

Ah! So, it's Ptycza. I thought that was the Polish crossed L.

I attached the original record, Elzbieta.

I've found it and marked it with a red X on a map showing Lublin as well. Poland lost so much territory!

Elzbieta. I cannot understand why my thread is duplicated on here. I shall have to delete the other one, I think.

Thanks,

Helena
